Clear has got to be the worst internet provider ever. Lost signal, poor reception, and expensive for a 3mbps signal which i get once every month. Most of the dowmload is .50-1.5 mbps. Ridiculous!

Clear Internet Service Review

I am capable of setting up internet and troubleshooting, clear all the sudden stopped working so no internet used this month but they don't do refunds for service that's not working. Switched to century link, you're on contract but you pay way less and the internet is so much better, no crashes like you have constantly with clear.

Clear can't fix issues and keeps billing me

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was a happy user of Clear for several years until last month when the connection *** out. At first they blamed it on a down tower, then they said it was unusual usage, then they blamed my equipment, then it was the firm ware. Over the last 4 weeks I have had no less than 6 calls with them, new equipment sent, firmware updates, and a dozen other things tried to regain the connection. Still my connection to the internet goes up and down on all my smart phones, laptops, and TV connections. And still they bill me and are at a loss as to what the problem is. I ask for a supervisor repeatedly and they refuse to put me through to someone for a definitive answer. I end up on eternal hold and am repeatedly asked to reboot. If anyone can recommend a wireless ISP in Roxborough, I'm all ears.

They really suck with the speed, is ridicules... I can't wait to get another provider I have so many problems with this carrier Is beyond slow and when storms come I can't use my internet for quite a few hours if y'all say fast speed and good service at least carry out with it if not don't charge that much .... Defently not worth it and to not offer the customers plans or deals after it changes to Sprint, way to go customer service...

Clear.com is a terrible, terrible company

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have had Clear for 10 years as my internet provider. Though miserable with their services, I did not switch because I was loathe to change my email address given that it was on all my business and marketing materials, etc. About a month ago, I received an email saying simply that my email account would go away on April 15, 2015. What?!!! I called and finally after many attempts to find answers (because nobody knows what the *** is going on at this company) I was given some vague explanation about "incompatibility with Googles platform". That's it. Nothing they can do. No apology. No compensation for the money, time, effort, and potentially lost income it would take me to change my email address. Then, to add insult to injury, they deleted my account on February 9th, more than 2 months early! I called again and they promised to restore it (minus all the prior emails which are gone forever). That was 2 days ago. No restoration. I am just disgusted. Please...if you are considering using Clear.com for anything but driving yourself mad, RUN, don't walk away, NOW.

Everything about CLEAR is horrible

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We have been a CLEAR customer for 5 years at a second home where there were no other options for Internet. The service rarely worked and the modem constantly had to be rebooted. I called tech support, which is a call center overseas, numerous times and the only "advice" they could provide was to unplug the modem and plug it back in. One time I refused to hang up until the service was working again and the technician was laughing. Trying to cancel the service is even worse. In the first call to cancel the service, the rep would not cancel the service, stating that they needed 2-3 weeks to generate a final invoice. I demanded to speak with a supervisor and was told that the supervisor would call in 1 hour, and of course I did not receive the call. I called back and it took 14 minutes to cancel the service. This entire time (5 years) my online account stated "Your account has been cancelled. Please contact customer care for additional support." Stay far away from this terrible company.

Clear Internet/Sprint Bait & Switch

I have been a Clear customer for over 4 years. Originally I was told my modem would be covered at my work and home addresses. That never happened but I elected to stay with them because I already purchased their modem. This past week I was trying to help an elderly friend with getting internet. I ordered a "Clear Modem" through Amazon. When we called Clear they told me that they no longer accept new members. I asked if I could have a modem added to my existing account and they told me that was not possible either. They told me I would have to go through Sprint. Sprint quoted my elderly friend a rate that was 2 1/2 times more than my rate and stated that the Clear Modem would not work. So, my question is this... if you know you are going to discontinue Clear Modems why are you selling new ones? You seriously expect me to believe you just made the decision to quit using the modems? And, if you want to provide new modems for existing members why can't you sell them to existing members only or at least put a disclaimer on the item being sold indicating this will no longer be used for Sprint. Ridiculous!!

Hello. I called today, and they told me the same thing about two devices I have had for 6 years.

Then they lie. I will be contacting corporate.

You should do the same. This is big right, and I want to be compensated in some way to accommodate the nonsense and fraud I have put up with with this company.

Promised to refund my $100 if returned in 2 weeks which it was. Fact, horrible service and also horrible customer service. The login looked like in logged into someone else account and could see I guess other people's activity from when they had the hotspot. It also had damage on the device itself as if used before. ***

Clear Internet - Internet Service Review from Fremont, California

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I used Clear.com for several years. The internet service has gone done dramatically. When I made a complain, a young man asked me to change to a Gear modem. Others asked me to change the places where I leave the small box to get the best result. What they could not find out was why my devic3 was dropped from the tower. I took it outside to the super market or the playground, I could get three green lights. This gs going on like this recently. Of course there is no way you can get refund for its disfunction.
