Really??

Door to Door salesman at 7:00 at night (Kevin Arthur) REFUSED to show identification or business card, but had an "install crew down the road" to switch me over. Told me that they "work with Time Warner & ATT". "Several of my neighbors have already switched". "Our introductory rate is fixing to expire". I told him that we were going to cancel all of our wireless service and he made the comment that I was going to go "Caveman". This was COMEPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL. IF THIS TYPE OF SELLING IS CONDONED BY THEM, THEN RUN, DON't WALK AWAY. Calls to both ATT & TIME WARNER CONFIRMED A SCAM...SCAM....SCAM....SCAM.

Omg! Same situation here. I had Lear for 3 years now and come to find out just recently they are shutting towers down. I'm soo very sad. I called customer service, they told me that, I use an average of 300 gigabytes of data monthly. There are 9 members from my family in my house hold and we all 9members use the hub for homework, work, play, watch movies, ect..... I called 4 different providers, and NONE offer a deal like clear. I found time warner cable the cheapest was $89.00 a month for two year contract and only 30 gigabytes a month.... Wtf Dose anyone have any suggestions for me please help!h

Try to go for Xfinity/Comcast. They cap at 300 gb per month.

There is no replacement that comes close, everything wireless will be metered with caps unless you can find a Wireless ISP in your area.

Time Warner must have quoted you for some LTE device. They do not have 30GB caps on their cable modem wired service (though they will contact you if you're being 'abusive' to their network, which they never tell you what they mean by that).

You are so right. I have used my credit card number for a ONE TIME payment, and then at first they weren't able to process payment, because I didn't plan to continue using the service since it will be off permanently starting the sixth of this month, which was yesterday. On October 30, they STOLE (I did not authorize payment from a credit card I had used for a ONE TIME payment the previous month)$12.42 and I had the displeasure of contacting customer service via chat, and they didn't apologize or anything, they just told me to call customer service to cancel service in order to get a refund, so I called to cancel, and they told me that my refund would be processed in 3-5 business days. No payment received. So I contacted billing via chat, and let me know it wasn't processed properly, so they had no intention of giving me my refund at first, but then after the billing chat, they let me know they corrected the problem and I received my refund in 2 days even though they told me I had to wait another 3-5 business days. They now have this new company called Clear wire, and Clear digital. I would NEVER subscribe to their *** service EVER again. I now have verizon fios cable and internet, and although it is more expensive, it is well worth the price. The upload and download speeds are way better. And the customer service is awesome!

Clear has cancelled/ so we cancelled/ no prorated $ back

CLEAR cancelled our internet service, scheduled to be 11/6/15. As of the beginning of October, our service significantly depleted. I had to find an alternative as CLEAR said that "we still had service" (no matter how poorly). However, as of 10/9/15, CLEAR had no problem charging our credit card on file. Also, on the automatically-generated email regarding our processed payment, the email notes "Your next monthly recurring payment date for account 434**** is 2015-11-09." --- AS you can see, CLEAR has the INTENT to continue to charge our credit card again... even after their intent to cancel the service. I called CLEAR today to CONFIRM that we were cancelling our service, essentially to ensure that no further payments would be processed. The CLEAR customer service person noted that they only planned to charge the lesser amount of $49.67, rather than the usual $54.99. Hence, CLEAR only planned to charge the lower amount for the "shorter time". So basically, CLEAR is capable of the knowledge of "pro-rated" amounts, but because I was cancelling, "pro-rated" funds would NOT be provided to me, nor would they reimburse for equipment, etc. Given the "pro-rated" equation that CLEAR acknowledges on THEIR end, I should have a return on MY end of cancelling. I have signed up with HUGHS INTERNET with high up-front costs, and now a monthly bill of $60. At least, their customer service is actually nice! I sincerely hope a class-action suit is in order.

I had Clear for over 5 yrs. There were outages and slow speed but sometimes. Now that they are out of business, my service stopped 9/15 and I was still being billed til 11/15. I had to call for a refund to be told that they no longer issue refunds and that I showed no service available since 9/15 and my next payment was due. I canceled service and did not recieve a refund. I had to dispute the charges thru my bank.

I've had Clear for years, and like most here the service (connection) changed after the announcement about its shutdown. Some service, no service, tech issues have become a norm! I was told my modem was bad, send $100 for a new why, why, service will be down in a month! I can't change providers until I move, I think Clear/Sprint should issue rebate/ refund checks to all who remained customers after the announcement, for the loss of service during its shutdown. Some people (like em) don't have a lot of internet options, so staying a customer to the end is a must! I hope a class action suit comes out of this, customers should be refunded some of the monthly payments the shutdown is not the fault of the customer!

Going to miss my Clear Internet

Longtime loyal and satisfied customer in Kuna. I have had Clear Internet for years, since it first became available in Kuna Idaho. Close to 10 years! Never had a problem with service or billing. Have been on auto pay the entire time. The one time my modem malfunctioned several years ago they replaced it promptly. Love the speed, unlimited service and monthly cost. Going to miss it. Having a hard time finding another comparable internet service at my home. Going to miss it. Thanks again Clear for your service! Hope I can find something comparable soon that fits my budget.

I was a customer for over 5 years, due to living where there was no DSL/Cable service. 6 months after I moved I got my cancel notice.

I went to Centurylink because I now can. If I had not moved I would have been SOL.

Thanks for the time we had, Clear. No billing issues, and my service only went out on the occasional Sunday night for a short time.

I have been a Clear customer for 3 years. 2 Years ago I was ready to leave Clear for their service constantly was having issue. When i talked to customer service, they did everything they could to get me to stay and offered me service for $25.00 a month if I stayed. I decided to give them another chance and really have not had any issues. I learned this month that my service was jumping to $45.00 a month. I was told that I would stay at $25.00 a month as long as I stayed, but now told I have to change. I contact customer service and was told it was a promo that ended. I disagreed. I was basically told that I was a liar, nothing was ever promised, and that I was basically screwed. Maybe that is the reason they are going out of business. Here is my chat with customer support calling me a liar, and admitting that they did not intend to lie to me: Hello Rob. Please wait while we find a CLEAR specialist to help you. Your question is: This month I learned that my monthly bill was going from $25.00 to $45.00 a month. Which is almost double. I have been a loyal customer to Clear now for 3 years, and I have tried to walk away in the past, but when offered internet for $25.00, I decided to stay. I contacted customer service to find out why my bill almost doubled, and I was treated in a very rude manner, and also not made to feel like a valued customer as I was told that I was. It was told repeatedly that the promotion ended, but I was told that if I chose to stay with Clear, my bill would be $25.00 a month and would never increased. I was also told that they sent out a email containing this information, but I have talked with 2 other customers of Clear and none of us received anything about the price increase. I understand that Sprint purchased Clear and I have now learned that the Clear service will terminate in November of this Year. My question is why was I flat out lied to about my rate never increasing? You have been connected to Ruxton L. Ruxton L: Thank you for contacting Clear Chat Support, my name is Ruxton. Now I am not the smartest person in the world, but being in business myself, I know there are limitations to promotions, and they typically do not go for a year. Ruxton L: And to give you a brief background on what we do. Usually if the account is in promotion, it will just take like 6 months. It is a good thing that you got the promotion for a year. Rob: You say that like you did me a favor. Ruxton L: Not really, Rob. I'm just trying to explain this further for you. Sorry. Rob: I am really not trying to be rude or unreasonable. I just know what I was told. And you openly admitted that there was a error on your part, and even stated that you did not intend to lie or deceive me. Ruxton L: I understand. The reps that I have talked to all have told me that they was nothing that could be done. I was even told that a supervisor was to busy to talk with me. Now you are telling me that the matter will be looked into and my rate my change? Can you see where this cause conflict in trust? Ruxton L: Just to be honest with you, we also have limitations on your access to your Clear account. We are only able to relay current information on the account. Ruxton L: Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you. Rob: So Ruxton L. Is that all we have to discuss? Ruxton L: What I am referring to is the promise that may have been given (if there is any) by the previous representative. Ruxton L: Yes. In as much as I would like to do anything on the account. Quite sad you had such a chappy time with Clear/Clearwire. I was offered and have had the same price the whole time I have been with Clear/Clearwitre for my Internet service...I think my price was $29.99, for life. ..

I haven't had the problems you've gad with customer service (ghastly, from what you posted!) And I'm terribly unhappy that I have to find a different Internet provider.
